SpinChem release new biocatalysis products in cooperation with Purolite Life Sciences

SpinChem AB announces the release of novel products for biocatalysis in collaboration with Purolite Life Sciences. In a totally new bioreaction concept, Purolite® Lifetech™ biocatalyst solid phases, are introduced as cartridges into the SpinChem® rotating bed reactor (RBR) systems. The launch of the cartridge products will occur at the BNCM conference in Rostock, Germany on May 9th 2017.

The combined properties of the new catalyst cartridges and RBR systems will make it easier and faster for customers to investigate and optimize manufacturing processes where immobilized enzymes are used for biocatalysis. Examples of such processes are found in the manufacturing of ingredients for pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and nutrition.
The two companies have signed a cooperation agreement and will jointly market and sell the new cartridge products. Production and distribution will be handled solely by SpinChem AB.
